About the campaign
‘Register & Be a lifesaver’ is the latest initiative backed by the Government to take forward Adrian Sudbury’s campaign for better education amongst young people about donation.
The campaign will launch in schools across South Yorkshire and Bristol and aims to educate young people about how they can ‘Register & Be a lifesaver’. The pilot schools programme will help raise vital awareness about the importance of donation.
In May 2008 Adrian Sudbury, a young journalist with terminal leukaemia, met with Gordon Brown, Ed Balls and Alan Johnson to present a petition with over 13,000 signatures of support for his campaign for better education on donation. Adrian lost his battle with leukaemia in August.
