'The Ultimate Volunteering Opportunity'- Donor Clinics in the Workplace

Donor Recruitment in the Workplace

The Anthony Nolan Register can never be big enough if we are to fulfil our mission and provide a transplant for any patient in the world in need of bone marrow. For this reason, we will always need to recruit more suitable volunteer donors to our Register.

As part of our ongoing donor recruitment campaign we are striving to involve more companies in this life saving work.

"At Virgin, we try to encourage as many young men and women to give a little of their blood so they can hopefully save a life. I am delighted for my company to support such a cause and recognise the achievements of my staff." Sir Richard Branson, Virgin

The Ultimate Volunteering opportunity offers employees a unique way to help The Anthony Nolan Trust save lives. Any number of your employees who choose to join the register may one day go on to personally save a life. This will continue for as long as they remain on the register meaning your company can have a legacy effect that offers the gift of life to patients who would otherwise die!

What’s involved?

A member of The Anthony Nolan Trust Donor Recruitment Team will discuss with you the opportunity of hosting a clinic in your work place. We will work with you to promote the clinic to your employees, clients and business associates as appropriate.

Employees aged 18-40 will be encouraged to attend the clinic to learn more and complete a short medical questionnaire before proceeding to join the register.

Funding Work Place Clinics

Many companies find funding our clinics as an ideal way of investing in their staff, others use it as an excellent focus for employee fundraising. Though you are not obliged to, we would be delighted should you contribute toward the costs we incur in running a clinic.

It costs Anthony Nolan £125 to add each new donor we recruit to our register. By contributing financially you will help us increase the number of lives we can save.
