The Anthony Nolan Trust is easyJet’s Charity of the Year 2008, which leads us into the third year of a hugely successful corporate relationship. The easyJet partnership is unique to The Anthony Nolan Trust, allowing us to partner with bone marrow registers in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland for our fundraising activities. These registers across Europe receive a percentage of funds donated on flights within their countries, making this a truly international partnership.

Rugby hero Will Greenwood, launched the 2008 collections alongside easyJet CEO Andy Harrison and Steve McEwan CEO of The Anthony Nolan Trust. At the launch Will said “I’ve long been a supporter of the Anthony Nolan Trust because I know how vital the charity’s work is. Without the work of this organisation many thousands of people around the world simply wouldn’t be here today. I’m very proud to be able to continue to support their work and I’d encourage everyone to do the same - you simply never know when you or a family member might really need them.”
easyJet on board collections will take place on all flights from July 14th through to September 26th 2008, highlighting the work of The Anthony Nolan Trust to passengers and encouraging them to donate spare change.
Andy Harrison, easyJet’s Chief Executive said:
“Once again we are very pleased to be working with such an important life-giving charity. We know that the spare change generously donated by our passengers over the last two years has already helped save lives throughout Europe. This year we’re hoping to raise an even greater sum to provide even more support for the fantastic work of the Anthony Nolan Trust.”
Since easyJet staff voted to support The Anthony Nolan Trust in 2006, a record breaking £1.3m has been raised, which has funded approximately 18,000 bone marrow donors giving people suffering from leukaemia a chance of life.
As an independent charity The Anthony Nolan Trust relies on the support of companies like easyJet to continue our lifesaving work.
