We now wish to recruit a Donor Recruitment Coordinator for an initial period of 6 months to cover maternity absence in our busy Operations Department. This role will require attendance at donor recruitment clinics held throughout the UK. While attending clinics you will be required to take blood samples, provide first aid where necessary and pack and dispatch clinic equipment. In addition, you will assist with the processing of medical questionnaires, checking the medical eligibility of all newly recruited donors and inputting data onto the donor database. This role will involve considerable telephone work and follow up correspondence.
The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills and be confident dealing with the public, both over the telephone and in person. Prioritising large and varying workloads and working to deadlines is essential as is the ability to work well in a team.
