Our supporters

The Anthony Nolan Trust has always been about volunteers : without volunteers, there is no Register.

The role of the Anthony Nolan executive team is largely about making volunteering as easy and as effective as possible. Click here to see how you can volunteer.

Shirley Nolan’s story was the story of how one person can make such a difference. And so many of our volunteers are living the same story. It is the spirit of so many thousands of individual volunteers which is perhaps most inspiring. There are too many stories to capture in one place : a selection is presented in our media centre.

We are vitally dependent on corporate support : fortunately, many corporates see – almost instinctively – the importance of our work. Our profile as an organisation, although not as high as many others, is both friendly – and national. We have many corporate partners. For some details of what they do, and what you could do, please click here.

Over the years, a number of communities have grown up around The Anthony Nolan Trust, working with us to recruit volunteer donors and to raise the money needed to convert a simple blood sample into meaningful information on our Register.

Friends Groups

There are currently 47 Friends Groups, who promote the Anthony Nolan, organise and fund recruitment clinics, and raise funds for our work. The activity of the Friends Groups ranges from giving small talks and presentations about our work, right up to the massive organisational task such as Jersey Friends’ Annual Kleinwort Benson Cycle Challenge.
